What sets the Diamond Elite above the rest is the way that it's constructed. Typically, other tubs are made with a steel frame underneath to support a greater weight capacity. Boca's Diamond Elite derives its strength from having a tub shell 3 times thicker than normal. The simple development of eliminating the steel frame and thickening the tub shell puts the Diamond Elite in a class of its own in three ways:
- It prevents the tub shell from cracking or spidering (a common problem for tubs in general).
- The absence of a steel frame allows the Diamond Elite to sit lower into the ground, resulting in a lower step-in for seniors (0 - 2.5").
- Without a steel frame, there's no need to uninstall the entire tub when repairs are needed.
The Diamond Elite
Because of its frameless design, this capable machine can sit deeper in the bathroom floor and give seniors unrivaled support for their mobility and independence, starting with the low-threshold entrance. The industry's average step-in height is 6" - 9", which is just a few inches lower than that of a regular bathtub. The leak-proof door is sturdy and its easy-use latch requires little force to operate. Because it opens inwardly, the door has a comfort curve design so that the seated bather doesn't have to squeeze their legs upon exit (special requests include a "U" shaped door design). Available for left-handed and right-handed seniors, this contoured tub ensures your safety with its slip-resistant floor and 17" high ADA compliant seat. The height of the seat is the standard seniors can sit and get up effortlessly while being assisted with custom positioned safety grab bars.
The speed drain system is another standard feature of the Diamond Elite which drains the tub completely in just 2 - 2.5 minutes.
The low-maintenance quality of the Diamond Elite doesn't stop at the frameless tub body. Its glossy finish is a sanitary bacteria, mold and mildew-resistant gel coat which makes cleaning easy and less frequent. The tub shell isn't the only thing that is hygienic as you have the option to include an auto-purge self-cleaning system that cleans out the water lines connecting your whirlpool jets - which are prone to bacteria and other harmful microorganisms.
Their optional therapeutic features include air massage, whirlpool massage, dual hydrotherapy, chromotherapy, and aromatherapy. Their hydrotherapy jetting (air and whirlpool massage) are made up of 18 air jets and 10 water jets. Choosing to have one type of massage system or a combination of the two is completely up to you (at an additional fee). The customizable jet placement allows you to choose where certain water jets should be facing to focus more attention on a particular muscle group. The Diamond Elite's standard colors are white and cream but you can request another color to blend with your bathroom.
