Ellsworth Medical's HQ is located in Windsor, Connecticut. They offer revolutionary accessibility and homecare supplies which include walk-in bathtubs. Their designs are composed of twelve models - seven for residents and homes, and five for medical facilities - all of which are dedicated to seniors with mobility and accessibility problems.
This article will show three residential models. For the healthcare facility models, click here.
Ellsworth's seven residential walk-in bathtubs are the RC2 Pacific, the RM3 Superior, the RH4 Stockton, the RE2 Huron, the RH6 St. Croix, the RA2 Tahoe, and the RB14 Mediterranean. Each model is meeting a need in some form or another but they all share the same standard safety features mentioned below.

The Pacific is a compact model with a slick design. It saves space in your bathroom while giving it an upscale look. It is 29" wide, 50" long and 40" tall, eliminating that old cluttered look your bathroom might have had and using the space it occupies to deliver quality bathing along with a comfortable contoured interior.
With extension panels, it can be installed in traditional tub space or freestanding fashion.
It has an inward opening door with your choice of a left-handed or right-handed orientation.
The Stockton is a side-to-wall installation style tub with a wide door. This sleek design is built to be wheelchair accessible, spacious and comfortable. The door opens outward to make way for the seat that the wheelchair-bound user can slide into without needless straining. Its non-slip surface and built-in grab bar ensure that the user won't need assistance to bathe ever again. The low step-in entrance makes it easy for seniors to enter the tub with or without a transfer device.
A fast flowing 1.5” stopper drain and overflow comes standard with this loaded model.
If you need hydrotherapy, the Stockton is available with your choice of whirlpool and air bubble massage systems to help soothe sore muscles, insomnia, and poor circulation. The Stockton measures 32" in width, 59.75" in length, and 38" in height.

A bariatric user will feel like a king or queen in the Huron's slightly reclined, 25" extra-wide contoured seat. Measuring just 32.5" wide and 53" long, this innovative piece of art gives bariatric users enough interior space without increasing the tub's footprint over what normally is the industry's standard for tubs of this kind.
With a low-threshold height entrance of 7", the Huron opens an inwardly swinging 20" wide door to a non-slip surface. The door is wider at the top than from the bottom and this is to give the legs some room when the bather is about to get up from their seated position.
Besides the standard safety design, the standard features include the faucet and shower wand. The Roman deck mounted faucet is made of solid brass coated with a fine chrome finish. With it is the handheld shower wand for upper body washing. This model drains 92 gallons of water in 2 minutes and 5 seconds. A truly extraordinary example of complete space optimization.
