TheraTub Walk-In Tubs

TheraTub's line of walk-in bathtubs is characterized by sheer quality from the construction stages all the way to the actual installation. Their style of construction, their tubs' safety and therapeutic features, and their method of customer consultation puts them in a class of their own.

Safety Features

  • Water tight "easy door"
  • Super Grip non-slip floor
  • Quick drain system (2 minutes)
  • Custom built-in grab bars
  • 17" high ADA-compliant seat

These precautions have been taking by TheraTub to ensure your safety and independence while bathing. For an overview of the safety benefits shared by most walk-in bathtubs, click here.

What distinguishes TheraTub's construction method from others is their abandonment of the steel frame which supports the tub shell. Instead, they directed their efforts at creating a tub shell that's up to three times thicker than other models on the market. Much like Boca's models, this has one main advantage that sets it above the rest in practice: A) It does not take away from the sturdiness of the tub, and B) it allows the tub body to sit lower on the floor, resulting in a lower step-in. This is why TheraTub's step-in height is no more than 2" from the floor.

This may seem trivial to some, but to seniors whose mobility is challenged, this is revolutionary. This makes the difference between bathing independence and dependence for physically challenged seniors.

Their line of walk-in bathtubs all share the same standard safety features and your choice to add hydrotherapy, chromotherapy, aromatherapy, hygienic components and the foot soaking option.

Particularly useful to diabetes patients, the foot soak option featured here gives them the ability to fill the tub up to the level where their feet could soak safely with the anti-scalding technology in place. For more information on legs-only massage systems, click here.

The tub comes in a very glossy mold and bacteria resistant gel-coat surface that makes your tub require less frequent cleaning.

Optional hygienic components include the auto-gravity jet purging system that dries out the water lines connecting your whirlpool jets. This eliminates the water conditions that enable mold and bacterial growth to thrive inside of the water lines, keeping your walk-in tub clean and hygienic.

As for the therapeutic features, the whirlpool and air massage systems have low/medium/high settings that are easily controllable by the push of a button within from an easy-to-each multi-control panel.

Other Optional Features

  • 18 air jets and 10 water jets for an air massage or whirlpool spa session with high/low settings at your control.
  • 1 personal hygiene bidet for those hard-to-reach areas.
  • Aromatherapy: A scented bead canister is placed at the rim of the tub for a blissful, aromatic bathing experience.
  • Chromotherapy: A lighting console is located just under the seat with your choice of cool and warm colors which calm and rejuvenate the body and mind.
