Chinese Walk-In Tubs

Mar 03, 2016

Three Chinese walk-in tubs have been selected and described below to give Americans an overall introduction of what they can expect from Chinese manufacturers.

The Wenzhou Times Model

The Wenzhou Times Model

Wenzhou Times' safety tub is a compact walk-in tub with a small footprint. There is nothing unorthodox about its shape in particular as it closely resembles compact designs made here in the USA. What is different, however, are the side panels which have transparent screens. Its ideal style of installation in the bathroom is back-to-wall. Perfect if you have a small bathroom.

The safety tub line has three models: A whirlpool massager, an air massager, and a standard soaker.

The whirlpool massager (45"W x 49"L x 38.2"H) includes an in-line heater which keeps the circulating water warm for the full length of your bath. This is mostly useful to seniors that stay in the tub for periods longer than 20 minutes.

The other model (32"W x 51.2"L x 42.5"H) is an air massager which is more popular with seniors that want a gentler, more soothing massage.

The third model (32"W x 51.2"L x 42.5"H) is a standard soaker which is mostly used by diabetic seniors.

Safety features:

  • Low-threshold entrance.
  • Non-slip floor and seat.
  • Built-in handrails.
  • Leak-proof door.
  • Quick draining and filling.
The Guangzhou City Royal Sanitary Ware Model

The Guangzhou City Royal Sanitary Ware Model

Guangzhou City Royal Sanitary Ware's model T-116 is a senior tub whose design is oriented around comfort.

Made from acrylic, the tub shell is a robust construction with a welded stainless steel frame that will make you feel secured in its roomy interior. At 29.5 inches wide and 55 inches long, this tub fills with water in sixteen minutes and drains in seven.

Its therapeutic feature is the water massager - with high/low settings controlled from the control panel - it is made up of 8 whirlpool jets that provide an intense massage for the back muscles. Click here to learn more about hydrotherapy.

A comfortable pillow sits on top of the seat's slightly reclined backrest to comfort the bather.

This model comes with a handheld shower with three functions: focused, dispersed, and standard water direction.

Safety features:

  • Low-threshold entrance.
  • Non-slip floor and seat.
  • Leak-proof door.

Tub dimensions: 55(L) × 29.5(W) × 39.8(H) in.

The Hanse Model

The Hanse Model

Hanse's HS-B1307T model looks very unorthodox but stylish compared to the standard walk-in bathtubs we see here at home.

Its semi-circle shape makes it easy to provide a caregiver (if necessary) all-around access to the seated bather.

The slightly reclined backrest achieves high levels of comfort.

This ingenious machine houses a whirlpool and air massaging feature for the bather to choose as he/she pleases.

With two ergonomic curved grab bars placed on the rim of the tub, and two in the tub's interior, a bather will always find assistance within their proximity.

This tub does not have to be placed in the bathroom because it is freestanding and designed to blend in with most environments, which means that very little to no installation costs are necessary.

Safety features:

  • Low-threshold entrance.
  • Non-slip floor and seat.
  • Ergonomic safety bars.
  • Leak-proof door.

Tub dimensions:

41(L) x 53.2(W) x 37.4(H) in.
